- Mix cream, milk, and sugar in a small saucepan and simmer over medium heat, stirring intermittently. Turn off the heat and chill the mixture to below 110 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Spread dry active yeast over the surface of the liquid and allow it to flourish for 10 to 15 minutes; the mixture should expand.
- Stir together the flour and salt in the mixing basin of a stand mixer. Add the yeast-water mix to the flour mix and knead on speed 2 for approximately 5 minutes with the dough hook.
- Coat a glass bowl and your palms with oil. Form the dough into a ball with your palms, then transfer it to the oiled bowl.
